Break Through. Heal Deeply. Move Forward.
EMDR Intensives at EMDR Transformations Counseling
We know that healing is personal, and sometimes, the traditional pace of weekly therapy isn’t enough. That’s why our EMDR Intensives are designed to help you make significant, lasting progress in a short amount of time.
EMDR Intensives are one of the ways we help clients experience meaningful change by supporting emotional clarity, mental steadiness, and physical regulation through focused, extended EMDR work.
Our team of skilled, compassionate EMDR therapists brings deep expertise in trauma healing, emotional regulation, and personal transformation. Whether you’re stuck in your current therapy, preparing for a major life event, or ready to finally face the pain of your past, an EMDR Intensive can provide the clarity, relief, and momentum you’ve been longing for.
What is an EMDR Intensive?
EMDR Intensives are customized, immersive therapy experiences that compress months of therapy into a few focused sessions over one to three days.
-
No weekly “stop-and-start” disruptions
-
A personal retreat-style environment, either in-person or virtual
-
Targeted, individualized treatment designed around your specific goals
-
Greater emotional insight, regulation tools, and forward momentum
Whether it’s a half-day, a full-day, or a 3-day experience, this is your time to go deep and make real, lasting change.
What You Can Expect
✅ Pre-Intensive Session
We begin with a 60-minute planning and goal-setting session to identify the specific issues, memories, and patterns you want to address.
✅ Personalized Assessments & Preparation
We’ll equip you with tailored tools and activities to support your emotional readiness, before, during, and after the intensive.
✅ EMDR Intensive Sessions
Therapy takes place in extended 3-hour blocks over 1 to 3 days. These sessions are immersive, powerful, and precisely structured for your healing journey.
✅ Post-Intensive Debrief
We wrap up with a final 60-minute session to reflect, integrate insights, and define your next steps.
This extended format gives your brain and nervous system more continuous time to process, which can lead to deeper relief, clearer insight, and stronger forward momentum than weekly sessions alone.
Who EMDR Intensives Are For
An EMDR Intensive may be helpful if you
- feel stuck in weekly therapy
- want relief and momentum sooner

- need focused support for trauma, anxiety, or longstanding emotional patterns
- prefer a concentrated therapeutic experience
- want to accelerate progress in a shorter period of time
Intensives can be used as stand-alone work or alongside ongoing therapy with another provider.
How EMDR Intensives Support Healing
Extended EMDR work allows your brain and nervous system the uninterrupted time needed to create deeper and more stable change. Clients often experience
- improved emotional regulation
- clearer processing and insight
- relief from longstanding patterns
- renewed clarity and direction
- faster forward momentum
This extended format supports your emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing by giving the nervous system continuous space to integrate what is being processed.
